NetFlow Analyzer is a web-based bandwidth monitoring tool that uses Cisco® NetFlow data exported from routing devices, to analyze network traffic and report on bandwidth usage across the network. With instant real-time bandwidth usage reports on top applications, conversations, and hosts using bandwidth, NetFlow Analyzer gives valuable insight into bandwidth usage in your enterprise without the complexity and expense involved in deploying hardware / software probes.
NetFlow data exported by Cisco routers and switches contains useful information on IP traffic. NetFlow Analyzer collects these NetFlow exports, correlates them, and presents graphs and reports on how bandwidth is used in the enterprise. Such reports are useful in monitoring bandwidth, analyzing network traffic, and bandwidth capacity planning.
NetFlow Analyzer Highlights
· Comprehensive Bandwidth Reports: Pre-defined bandwidth analysis reports give you information on top users, top conversations, top applications, top protocols, BGP reports, AS information, and custom reports. You can drill down these reports to see specific applications that are using the bandwidth.
· Enhanced Data Storage: Data is stored in both aggregated and non-aggregated formats. The aggregated top 100 is stored forever and provides reports for capacity planning and long term reporting. The non-aggregated (or raw) data can be stored for upto 2 weeks and allows troubleshooting with 1 minute granularity.
· Alerting Based on Thresholds: Generates alerts, and sends you an email, when the traffic utilization exceeds pre-defined threshold settings. Forwards SNMP traps to NMS / EMS application for critical alerts in the network.
· Departmental Bandwidth Usage: Allows you to create IP address based departments / divisions with options to filter based on application and interfaces. You can then view bandwidth usage statistics for an IP group exclusively. This information is vital in calculating bandwidth costs and accounting for usage.
· Custom Reports: Report criteria let you select specific parameters to report on. For example, you can view bandwidth used by a specific host or network, to access a single application during a certain week. Such options give greater flexibility in meeting your bandwidth monitoring needs.
· OpManager Integration: You can integrate NetFlow Analyzer with OpManager, and set up e-mail and SMS notifications when WAN links are experiencing problems.
· Web-based Remote Access: NetFlow Analyzer offers a web-based user interface making it easy to view bandwidth reports across WAN links from anywhere on the network using just a web browser. It does not require any plug-ins, as its based on pure HTML.
